World Affair's ChallengeThe Futures Lab World Affairs Challenge Team competed and were finalists in the 2023 World Affairs Challenge! The team created a video which highlights their collaborative solution to address water conservation, proposing the creation of beautiful landscapes that reduce outdoor water use in Fort Collins by incentivizing businesses and schools to replace portions of their non-functional turf with community gardens and xeriscape space. Their solution creates access to nutritional food, reduces community carbon footprint, increases community connection and social engagement while also saving water.
